MCIS
Why can't the Pumpkins and Billy make music like this anymore? Listening the bonus discs just make me wonder why we can't have amazing music from this band anymore. I know Billy wants to try different stuff and we all grow and change. The songs on MCIS are really classic though and most importantly there's so much soul and feeling here which is really something that's been lacking with Zeitgeist, American Gothic, and Oceania too.

This inevitably happens to all bands/artists. Eventually, all artists become shells of themselves. Sadly, in the case of the Smashing Pumpkins I think Billy can still write a good tune now and again, he just no longer knows how to execute well. Everything sounds too sterile, generic and predictable. I also agree with the people who have said that Billy's voice has kinda gone with age.
