Default IN RAINBOWS/CD Question

Ok, so as far as the bonus tracks if you bought the box set edition with the vinyl, can you get those tracks any other way?

best buy's website states that the tracks come with their version of the album:

http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage....uct&id=1780969

however i just went to the store and bought it, hoping to get the bonus tracks, and there was nothing. The one i bought at the store had the same SKU number and everything. Is there another version of the release that has the bonus tracks? Is the bestbuy.com version different than what you get in the store?

Wow, that is pretty fucked up. I am sure you could return your purchase if you actually bought it through the site, and it was indeed false advertising, but being that you bought it at retail, that's on you.

Do you really want to get your $7.99 back? If you do, then give it a shot. If not, a friendly e-mail to alert them about it might be in order.

thats the other thing.. i paid 11.99 in the store for it.. and the price on line keeps fluctuating between 7.99 and 11.99 depending on when i have loaded it over the last few hours.

i don't give a shit about 8 or 12 dollars, what i was interested in is getting all the tracks on CD without having to buy the vinyl.

here is another discrepancy.. the website lists the album length at 79 min, yet the CD i have is 40 something.

So i called 1-800-best-buy, and of course no one could answer the question, but they did say they would send it to the web guys to "investigate the discrepancy". So i asked what they could do for me, in terms of getting back to me when they figure it out, and the guy tripped and fumbled through his words for a very un-comfortable 30 seconds until i said:

"can you attach my email to the investigation ticket you are generating, so that whoever figures it out can email me when a resolution has been made".

to which he replied:

"well i can transfer you to customer relations"

and then he hung up on me.

did i mention i fucking hate bust buy?

Their phones have a tendency to drop calls when being transferred.

Purchasing the vinyl won't get you anywhere - at least the Diskbox one - as it only has the 10 album tracks. The companion disc that came with the box, however, has the extra tracks.

But, yes, I completely agree - Best Buy blows. I loved it back in the day when they made a false advertisement about Pearl Jam's "Single Video Theory" video coming with a bonus live disc, which it didn't. So, to compensate, they had to give each person who bought it one free CD from the store. I got the Foo Fighters' s/t and reveled in that purchase.

does the retail version have those stickers they show on the commercial? That might be worth the 11 dollars.
