Vivid was pretty great when it first came out. I have the CD for nostalgia purposes but other than "cult of personality" it sounds pretty dated. It had the requisite rock ballad instead of the usual "love theme" it had a social theme in "open letter".

I still remember watching the glamour boys video. "I ain't no glamour boy, I'm fierce !" with Glover in his yellow biker shorts.

Vernon Reid is a badass guitarist though. They were all actually pretty talented.
