That's the first thing Billy mentions

"Oh, James couldn't be here today, he's got a bit of the Mexican tummy bug, so... Less anyone thinks he left the band again" lol

I wonder if it’s more like a “if Darcy isn’t included I don’t think it’s right” protest from James

If they didn't just come back from Mexico where you're chance of getting Montezuma's Revenge is like 75%, I would buy the conspiracy theory.

Shame on you and Shame on me it’s like we need Brene Brown in here to make an atlas of our souls with her shining punchable joy face that she does these days now that everyone has agreed she is god herself

I'm sorry but I have a hypothetical science theory question

if this generation of SP comes rocking out Jamesless because of "TUMMY BUGG", does that automatically make the band as bad as when that identical lineup played in 2016 or whenever the fuck it was? Personally I think so yes

I love the electric version of Shame. The Rock AM Ring version was my benchmark, but man does James really add to the atmosphere.

Yes, but nothing is worse than the Teargarden -> Monuments Era of SP with just Billy in the band plus a rotating crew. It was farcical that Zwan had more SP members than SP did in that 7 year span.

I know what you guys are talking about but calling that 2007-2008 version of Shame the "electric version" is gross and dumb

you guys probably were babies when Adore was released and it shows.

Ha. I briefly wrestled with how to refer to it before just settling with electric. Which is admittedly odd. I mean, what would I call the Adore version? The electronica-arcane-night-music version?

The spirit of my description was from comparing acoustic versus electric versions of songs. I think of the difference in the album and Earphoria versions of Disarm being similar to the Shame example, but even then you wouldn't call the album version of Disarm an acoustic rendition.

I suppose it just falls under the live classification, but that seems a bit vague.

How about you, slunken? Do you just call it a live version and call it a day?

And yeah, I was only 13 when Adore came out. Ugh.
