Do SP only exclusively play in the USA now? No European dates at all?

Jane’s Addiction has only played a handful of shows since 2017 and has not released new music in nearly a decade.

20k+ people per city are going to pay $200 to see this?

I agree with you. But I think with how tours work, Billy got promoters to pay for the costs of the venues. There is little financial risk to Billy personally if the shows do not sell well.

Hmmm. I think it will be a lot of full lower bowls and Groupons for the upper deck. Hell, I’ll probably go to St. Paul. Grab a seat in the rafters and sip a Diet Coke while dad nodding along.

Well I don't know about stadiums (they look like mostly arenas and pavilions), but the big difference is it's a combo tour, like many of the 90s/2000s package tours that are still all the rage right now. Seems like every year they mix and match bands like Alice in Chains, Korn, Breaking Benjamin, Bush, etc. Fairly similar to the Pumpkins/Noel Gallagher tour three years ago. Will they sell out? Probably not, and if so, it will be closer to the showdate and with Groupon deals. But since Livenation owns most of the venues and get a piece of every business transaction once you're in the venue, they just have to get ENOUGH people in the doors for it to be a success.

So tickets will probably start at a premium price and gradually get lower closer to the date of the show.

If Instagram followers are any indication, probably not.

But after 2 years of lockdown, venues at any level are likely offering big discounts just to fill up their calendars.

boring

aren't these tours shitty? like you have to be a fan of both bands to want to go, otherwise the guys you like get a shorter set and you have to sit through a random band

Manson & SP were playing small outdoor pavilions under this setup few years ago tho. Now they playing NBA stadiums. Weird.

Had it been a UK/Europe tour I'd have been slightly disappointed about the split focus but I'd have definitely got tickets and probably gone a bit deeper in JA (than knowing 2 songs).

Can see why everyone's a bit fucked about arena shows for this though.
