I saw that too and I am sad that I don't know if that's a new song or something from Cyr lol. Also, so much for it being a continuation of the Rock Invasion setlist. This is just basically a slightly different greatest hits tour I guess.

It says Festival Setlist v1. They are planning two different setlists. Beguiled is not a CYR song, unless it's a cover of something I don't know, it's a new song. + I can't understand Billy's handwriting. Not sure what's that after Starla/before Silverfuck. And those two before/after Mayo. Edit: Anno Satana and Black Forest from CYR. Not sure about the one after Starla yet tho Last edited by Forgotten Child : 04-23-2022 at 11:19 PM. |

I think that's One + All? I can't really make out his handwriting either.

Once In A Lifetime surely won't be viable, the whole thing is built around screaming

Set seems a bit topsy turvey - don't most bands play their most well known songs at the end of the set? Not "One and All" or "If There Is A God".

I honestly would not be opposed to them playing "FOL." In 2019, "G.L.O.W." and "Superchrist" were actually highlights of the show; as was Jimmy playing "One and All" in the Manson tour in 2015 (I actually remember that being one of the few songs they did not seem to sleep-walk through). The general consensus was that the version of "FOL" that got released with the Hyundai ad actually had the seeds of a good song; it just happened to be a demo with placeholder lyrics (something Billy confirmed on Instagram).

Serious question: do any non hardcore fans even recognize Ava Adore? I haven’t heard it in public since around 2002.

anyone with at least a casual interest of the band (at least enough to grab Rotten Apples or put on This is Smashing Pumpkins/some adjacent playlist or artist radio on Spotify) probably knows it

re:ava i don't know, but i'm sure there are multiple orders of magnitude more fans that recognize it over Telegenix or the Crux of the Forest Hawk

Well good point, but Bullet and Today are two of their best-known songs (if not the best), and it seems strange to be getting them out of the way so early. They are certainly better known than SIYL, Ava Adore, or arguably Cherub Rock.

Nobody's commenting on "XYU" being on the setlist?
There is no fucking way Billy's going to sing this like the original recording. Seriously though - if he actually screams "And in the eyes of the jackal I say ka-BOOM!" I will lose my shit like I did as a teenager hearing this song for the first time. |

I'm 99.9% certain he'll silently put his hands out to the audience to indicate he expects them to scream it instead
And the 0.1% is just thinking he might say "And in the eyes of the jackal I say..." in a flat monotone and then gesture |

XYU is extreme, naturalistic, uncontrived, raw as fuck - practically everything the last 3-4 Pumpkins albums are not
i don't know if there's a more jarring inclusion that could be picked for this set, at least Heavy Metal Machine would contextually make some sense or mayb he's just angy at Courty Cat again |

Did no one listen to the recent Douglas Park show? United States had a bunch of screaming and growling in it.

tour starts tonight if anyone can scoop some content
~~ also thinking of seeing the kentucky date. 2 hour drive. tickets are like $60 minimum which seems ridiculous, i dunno. standing room only. doors at 6. not sure how long the line will be - i mean, i'm posting on netphoria in 2022, surely i'm one of the few that gives a shit enough to line up and get barrier? |
