Norsemen is another Netflix show that's worth a look.
People Just Do Nothing and Norsemen. |

Watched Future Man the hulu show this week.
It's incredibly dumb, but surprisingly engaging. |

Mr. Robot is probably my favourite show. Other than the incredibly interesting psychological themes it explores, the story and the acting is great. I love the main character, mainly because we've some stuff in common. He's played by Rami Malek, the same dude who's playing Freddie Mercury in the soon-to-be-released Queen biopic. I'm really excited for that too. I love Queen.

Watch Bojack Horseman too. Might seem childish in the beginning, but it is excellent. Hard for me to explain, actually. It's kinda unique. oh, and I really like Will Arnett too, so seeing him voice Bojack is a lot of fun.

Started watching Crashing on netflix (not to be confused with the amazon Crashing show) about a bunch of english people living in an abandoned hospital.
This show is so much my jam, super fun and great dialogue. Strongly recommend it |

Telling teh b0lly!!1 that he'll enjoy the later episodes of Bojack is essentially saying to him, "Hey, you like depressing shit that's not even really comedy, right?"

He might want to know that he's getting himself into seeing abrasive maternal figures humanized through episode-long explorations of their past via dementia-based delusional flashbacks with nary a joke to chortle at.
Seemed worth pointing out. |

the personification of various animals, and using their natural implied expression or animal gestures within a human context, was a very nice concept and sharply done. i guess i'll keep watching and see what happens. |

ok so, in a bleak post-Sopranos world, i was looking for some new shows to watch, and what i ended up with is this list:
* The Wire (missed it all these years and ppl keep saying it's one of the greatest ever) * The Americans * Mr. Robot in the comedy corner - * Bojack * People Just Do Nothing * Mindhunter (cause still being obsessed with serial killaz is a joke) there's also a new season of Black Mirror coming up, but i kind of fear it's gonna keep going downhill after last season was handed over to US production. i wasn't able to get a clear answer if the new season is going to be british or american production, but this quote i dug up certainly does not bode well: Quote:

I don't want to be too hard on Bojack because it's not something I have any sort of specific hatred for, but it's definitely one of those shows I'll watch and never recommend to others (despite typically being an annoying recommender type).
Other things I have disliked about it: - The relatively frequent alliterative/assonant/consonant micro-monologues that are only very vaguely clever and not at all amusing. - Finding out that Jessica Biel voiced herself and therefore that all the anti-Biel slams were bullshit. - The idea that the writers might actually think I feel for / identify with Bojack or see the character as anything other than a costumed cliché. |

Be warned that Mr. Robot is pretty much straight up terrible, whereas The Americans is perfectly watchable albeit mediocre.

shit, definitely go with the wire or the americans. idk how the americans will be to a non-american though. it's not really a political show, but it does take place in the real world of america in the 1980s so there is some historical context involved. at its heart it is about (what else?) relationships
the wire is not as conceptually complicated but the first season especially throws a lot of characters at you at once and it's kinda hard to keep them straight neither of these shows are "easy" to watch compared to the sopranos but they are so good |

The Wire can be tough at first for non-native speakers and non-Americans in general due to the extreme level of acronyms, abbreviations and otherwise colloquial references to other characters and events within that context of United States law enforcement and the justice system.
That said, anybody capable of figuring out who is who within the first two seasons of Game of Thrones should probably make it. |
