Just not the same after they offed Sykes due to a contract dispute and definitely not to the dog actor actually dying, the dog is enjoying retirement and playing with sick children and will for many decades to come

What are you talking about the first episode of the last season has three black characters and two asian characters. yeah, one of the black guys is killed. And the Asian woman is a computer hacker. But the villain is a white Karen!

You can tell in between which seasons they fired that producer because it's like fifty seasons of the kind of England Eric Clapton envisions and suddenly exactly 60% of the guest cast for every single episode is minorities as though ITV is running down a "Prevent Another PR Disaster" checklist

A lot of these shows, definitely not Prime Suspect, I enjoy even though they're a bit cheesy; they're the type of British detective show I think of as, "Victim's loved one gazes out a window holding a cup of tea upon being informed of the murder"

One serious show I really love, though I haven't seen the latest season yet, is Unforgotten

I only liked Midsomer Murders with the first detective and sidekick Troy, the new sidekick was bad enough but when they switched out the detective it really did not feel the same

You know I really loved Luther the first time I watched it and then I went back and was sort of horrified by how disposable it sort of was

Just listened to a bit of it on YouTube and it sounds pretty good. Not for me but certainly doesn't bother me. Especially because, while looking it up, I learned that he had a religious epiphany and became a Christian while filming Harry and the Hendersons, which is just fucking delightful
