This was a pretty good show; Astragal opened and not only did they do good but they seemed genuinely happy to be up there playing; the other openers, Glaze, had some cool songs, but seemed like they are the type to be good live but just okay on record, if that makes sense.

It's the 10th anniversary of Ringo Deathstarr's first EP, apparently, and they played "Kaliedoscope" which is their most shoegaze-by-numbers early song but I love it so much and I almost cried.

Fuck yeah Alice in Chains went off.

2 of the Chili Peppers turned up for a couple of songs.

might go to the Spoon/Beck show happenin' this summer, tho i would probably go to Dallas or Austin for it since the venue they're playing in the closest city to me (Woodlands Pavillion, Houston) has been kinda a wet blanket for any show i've seen there. never quite loud enough even when I have a decent seat - I get that it's in a residential area but when I saw Deftones there, everyone would get into it on a song by song basis, but have to quiet down just to hear the song after like 30 seconds

oh, & Shiny round 2 feat. N. Gally
