NIN and Marilyn Manson are old school making concept albums. They made concepts that were far more in-depth than the Machina mystery, and far more interesting.

Aside from the odd-sounding tracklisting, this whole thing seems pretty darn cool. I like the mini-websites. Anotherversionofthetruth.com, especially, with the messageboard and sound files and such. I can't wait to see how this unfolds. Billy should learn a thing or two from this.

I think he means how Antichrist Superstar, Mechanical Animals, and Holy Wood were supposed to be some sort of trilogy revolving around one basic story. Holy Wood was supposed to go first as the prequel, then AS and MA...or something like that.
