Thoughts? Feelings? complaints? (aside from a lot of it being just plain dumb anyway)

I think springsteen will probbaly get album of the year.

Norah jones seems a shoe in for best new artist but maybe it will be avril lavigne.

I just don't liek that vanessa carlton catagory.

Beck will probbaly win for best alternative album since he seems to own this catagory.

I have a complaint.

The fact that AVRIL LA-BLAH BLAH said "David BAW-WIE" instead of DAVID BOWIE.

i think i side with whoever said the nominations are laughably bad. i'd even go as far as to say they are worse than the previous years, especially the album of the year category. but, they do follow tradition by nominating a once great musician who has never gotten the recognition from his good albums. correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure bruce has never gotten an album of the year or anything big.
i used to get upset about this, but awards don't really mean anything. it's just another tv program that is continued to be made for the sake of ratings.

That was her ??? I heard about that on the radio but the guy didn't say who it was. My gosh. what a....is there a word for that?

I thought the purpose of it was nominating the greatest albums of year, strangely it seems they are nominating the worst of this year.
It's just Music Industry promoting themselves.

Last night, I was talking to my girlfriend about the Oscars and how I really don't think that they ever make the right choices, ostensibly because the Academy is a bunch of sticks-up-their-asses nonagenarians.

But then I thought about the Grammy nominations and it made me want to sprinkle holy water on the motion picture industry or something.

in a local newspaper they were talking about how Avril Latrine didn't know what feminism meant or how to pronounce david bowie's last name.
her response was "that stuff's old, right?"

i was like,

My roommate just told me that Avril called herself this generation's Sid Vicious. I don't know where she heard this, but I'd believe it. I mean, she is soooooooooo punk and all.
