Not just a problem unique to SP. So many tours are just not selling, even from artists that are more popular than SP. The double bill doesn't do them any favors, but so many people are either buying tickets last minute or just skipping concerts all together.

This is a completely normal stage in any Live Nation show.

The tour is actually selling quite well. Some markets are not, but a lot of venues are nearing capacity.

Good to know! Not Joy Corgberg in the white van, i mean it's good to know the tour is selling.

With a guy who considers 2500 venue tours "shit tours" you never know if he's bitten off more than he could chew.

Navarro is in JA i believe

Thing is JA peaked in like 1990. Their fanbase is basically already unable to attend live music shows due to advanced age.

Navarro is having some health issues so is not on this tour.

Sadly, there can come a point where the Live Más mentality lands you in the hospital for exhaustion

If and when they (D'arcy & SP) ever patch things up (highly unlikely) and decide to do an original line-up tour you'll see record breaking, sold-out venues. But, we all know that ain't happening. Someday me hopes.

When tickets went on sale, Eric Avery hadn't returned to the band yet, and when he came back, Navarro bowed out (he has long COVID), so it was always assumed to only be 75% of the lineup.

I doubt adding back D'arcy would make that much of a difference, creatively or commercially.

I highly doubt Navarro not playing is a dealbreaker for people in any measurable way. It's more likely that people don't want to pay high ticket prices for JA who has like 2 memorable hits. Some of the biggest touring acts are having trouble moving tickets like they used to.

JA status is definitely overestimated, maybe promoters couldn't say no to Mr Lollapalooza

It’s funny how you guys act like Jane’s Addiction has no fans and is just some one hit wonder. They were literally one of the pioneering bands of alternative rock. They have plenty of fans and they have two stone cold classic albums, Nothing’s Shocking and Ritual. They also have been routinely blowing your precious but severely faltering SP off the stage at every stop so far.

wonder why the decline in tix

i mean my biggest thing i hate about gigs is all the fucking bullshit. the time on the ticket is like 3 hours before the band you wanna see plays. you just stand there. for hours

They actually have been selling better since they put out the new songs. Probably a coincidence but it makes me wonder if they should have released the album before the tour.

They basically sold out that 20K seat venue in LA. Not sure why but they might be even more popular there than in Chicago for some reason.
