lsd you're not going to take all the time and if you do something else is really wrong or it's very temporary. doing it more than every weekend is pretty much unheard of. you also gain a tolerance VERY quickly (like, basically right away after one dose) so it's self limiting for a lot of different reasons.

as far as i'm concerned psychedelics are not even drugs of abuse. i've known/know one person who is addicted to DXM and she's fucking crazy. tried to tell me we were playing head games with each other and i had to convince her i wasn't playing shit and she was interpreting everything thinking i had some kind of a agenda that i didn't have. i had to stop talking to her.

The funny thing about Nicole's reactions on Facebook is that, because she was offered a gig in a huge band, then kicked out, she now feels entitled to working with another touring band.

These two were given an opportunity and somehow they screwed it up. We don't know the whole story, but wah wah wah billy kicked us out. Suck it up, that's rock n roll.

if they weren't basically just a couple of nobodies this wouldn't happen

if bill actually hired pro musicians this wouldn't even be an issue and he probably would have had a better working relationship with them

but he wanted to reinvent the pumpkins, it fucking sucked and now he's got tommy lee.

Actually, the most professionally courteous thing billy can do for mike and Nicole is keep his mouth shut about them. Because we all know how well that's worked out for nearly all past band members. This is probably his way of appreciating them.

And Christ they had 3-4 years of touring the world and playing to large audiences etc etc etc. that's more years of living off of their playing than most musicians of their ability get these days. They should still be kissing corgan ass for giving them that opportunity.

the causation/correlation between psychosis and psychedelic drugs is not completely clear but it is generally thought that drugs like LSD be a catalyst to psychosis in those who are already susceptible and basically hastens the course of the disease (namely, schizophrenia) but does not cause it in somebody who would not have had it anyway. citation needed. pavementtune, i'd love to see something else about this, but i think setting up a study about this is probably ethically impossible and there probably is no way to prove it one way or the other. psychotic "breaks" seem much more likely than causing long term illness

someone like ilikeplanets moved on to hard drugs and will get addicted to those, not to LSD or whatever.

That's completely different. James Darcy and jimmy started that band with billy and it was a proven success and dynamic that is never coming back. Billy needs those three and the past 14+ years has proven that he's pretty artistically fucking worthless without them. That was a true 'band' that we'll never see the likes of again.

He certainly doesn't need mike and Nicole. They need him and that's over and done with.
