Imagine that was a new song from SP now, sounding exactly like that. Everyone would lose their shit.

Machina 2 is all over the place. There isn't a flow to it. The only thing linking Machina 2 tracks is Billy telling you that they're linked by an overarching story, but the story is muddled, all over the place, and only partially there. Machina 2 on it's own is not cohesive. It's half a story, and not even the first or last half. It's like taking a season of a television show and scrambling the episodes out of order while also having complete episodes missing. Sure, Billy keeps telling us a story is in there somewhere. We'll see when we finally get that reissue.

I never said it was "more cohesive than Machina II" I said there were less discernible differences between the mixing on those two albums than there were between the Machinas. which is kind of important if people are trying to mix & match the shit as they often do

His vocals, man. I really miss them. No trash vibrato, no trying too hard. Just barely talking. And it sounds fantastic. I also love James’ vocals doubling up with him for the chorus.

Remember in 2020, when he was working on the Machina Reissue?
This is actually what he is busy working on these days. If you buy all 3 nights VIP you can get a "free" poster! |

That version of GATGC has definite Adore vibes. Maybe in an alternate timeline they doubled down on the Adore aesthetic and made another album like it. There's certainly enough material (demo or otherwise) floating around to put together a reasonable Adore 2 album.
