Brothers, I disagree. I have told my tale of defecation on public transport in relation to this song. If it has the power to elicit such a cacophonous reaction, it simply cannot be bad, by any metric. I find it plenty atmospheric, don’t you know, and whilst I do prefer the Machina II version of the song, the Machina I recording would fit snugly into this particular film:

He has talked, in numerous interview, about how the divorce was contentious, went on for a few years, and resulted in his now ex-wife attempting to go after a portion of his songwriting royalties. That is where I get "messy" from.
