I would argue Mikey's Oceania drumming is 100x better than drumming on ATUM

at least he used a real drum kit and syncopated fucking notes

i am still in shock from hearing JC describe how it's a fun challenge or whatever writing drum parts without syncopated rhythms,. that's just fucking quarter notes! that's nothing!!!

maybe it is pumpkin humour

it certainly fits the song, corgan being a fucking dunce and plodding away on synths, JC does the same drum-wise

My favourite Byrne moment is when he drummed "it's Byrnin' time" on the Oceania tour. Even without words, the message came through.

Guys....funny how byrne got shit for drumming badly on oceania. I read lots of posts here..

Funnier is that now that jimmy playing the robotic 4/4 snare bassdrum ...some of start praising mighty miki....

Jesus, jim just plays what bill wants him to play...
Repetitive as fuck boring plodding along, besides the drumsounds do not sound good in any way.

I think that jim is playing the sub.

Worse is that james isnt on the record....so it does sound like wpc solo......so far..

Mike might be good, but guys the material on oceania was way stronger than this atum 1.

Or maybe, the whole Machina mystery is that it was Mike doing all the drumming all along. He's actually 57 years old.

All the former drummers will join SP for the ATUM tour, in support of JC, just like all that percussion on the Adore tour. Byrne, Arnoff, Walker, Tommy Lee, and that guy from Rage will all have a vital role to play. BIG stuff.
