Oh don't get me wrong. My library is 90% vtg paperback. I love the format because they're so cheap and the cover art is usually amazing. But $16 is insane to me for a fairly mass produced book (popular library's "questar" imprint). Used to paying no more than $5 even for more rare authors.
Reading "when gravity fails" by George Alec Effinger. Really into it. It's as if Raymond Chandler wrote about the futuristic Middle East modeled after the French Quarter. Lots of body modification.
