I wouldn't call Gomez a 'very good' prospect, but that's all semantics. If he stays healthy, I imagine Santana wins four Cy Young awards in his seven years as a Met.

But, Santana had an off season in 2007 (for him) and wasn't the best pitcher then. I hope it was just an bump for him and not a tell-tale sign of a career arc.
