You guys have obviously never been around fires. They don't make any sense sometimes.
My mother in law's kitchen caught on fire. It's right next to the living room. There were things in the kitchen that were completely blackened and unrecognizable, and yet not even a few feet away, things like newspaper were sitting there untouched. But in the next room, the smoke detectors had melted on the wall from the heat.
Can't explain that.
