Ryan Adams recently answered questions about the vinyl release for Wednesdays and said the pressing company was the only one he could find, and the vinyl turned out warped and covered in dust from manufacturing.
I bet Jack White's Third Man pressing plant is raking in cash. It was insanely smart of him to not only set up a domestic pressing plant, but also refurbish it with his own personal flair. I think Metallica own their own pressing plant in Europe too, IIRC.
It sucks that artists are postponing releases over vinyl delays. It shows how important vinyl sales are to artists these days (strangely enough).
