My kids were goofing around with a train set today in the living room, and spooked the cat so bad that she now refuses to enter the living room and is literally afraid of her own shadow
What the hell. I think it was the last straw and now she is actually is a mentally ill cat.
I picked her as a ratter from the SPCA in 2008, and she was young then, maybe only two, but she’d had two litters of kittens already. She was rescued from a gang house.
I feel sad thinking that she might have some deep and unresolved trauma that was triggered by the train set.
Now I’m just sitting here in the living room so that she can also sit in the living room and and see that everything is OK. It’s taking forever
. Her tail is still twitching and she’s getting spooked by her shadow
