happy 7k to me
in celebration i'll be making my own candles & cookies feel free to request |
Congrats!
Where should I mail the celebratory anal beads? |
They usually smell like mint but in the mouthwash way
|
That said I still buy a couple Christmas candles around the holidays because they're cozy.
|
Or, I guess snug would be a more appropriate term.

Right, it's like how I associate the smell of a peach tart with the pangs of 27 rams.

Every so often I succumb to the delusion that I am one of those moms/wives who lights scented candles at home. I have one scented candle that someone gave to me for Christmas in 2021. I’ve lit it less than ten times because each time the smell makes me feel ill. I think it’s oil based as well. So I’m essentially filling my house with petrochemical fumes. I feel unsettled every time I light it, and when I can’t take it any more, I snuff it out and then open the windows for fresh air
|
at what point in this thread was a "pussy candle" joke made
|
I looked it up and apparently it’s soy. But I just don’t like it
I like the look of your candle though Ram. I want to get one now, and see if it’s any better |
I'm fond of diffusers, but essential oils are too expensive and also apparently a lot of them are not great to breathe in (I haven't done my research on which ones are good or bad). I just kinda default to lavender because citrus scents just smell like cleaning products and I'd rather just use incense for scents like patchouli or sandalwood and that stuff.
|
ooh haha i had ordered a cheap set of essential oils + diffuser on amazon but then decided to cancel and try the candle instead
kinda wish i didn't, there's a lot of hokum about essential oils you can kinda trick yourself to believe. plus it's more interactive it is a good candle tho |
I don't really look into all the hippy claims about essential oils calming you or having whatever effect on you. I just like good smells.
|
Essential oils definitely give me a headache and/or nausea. Especially lavender.

ram, try to quit amazon, will ya? |
I started burning oils a while back. At the moment I like Myrrh and Rose Musk, they make my room smell awesome.

I'm perpetually on the hunt for low fat/high protein recipes that supposedly satisfy dessert cravings, and bean smoothies are a surprisingly popular mention. I didn't notice the beans at all, but after my first sip, I said "this tastes healthy" out loud, probably because almond milk and cocoa powder both taste like chalk. And then I felt my blood sugar spike about 30 minutes later. I have no plans to repeat it.

We’re trying to save money so I’m using up some protein powder we bought for my son, he didn’t like it so it’s just been sitting in the fridge. It expired in January but I figured it would still be fine because it’s just milk powder and we kept it in the fridge, and expiry dates are just suggestions for products like these surely
But then I threw it up in the staff bathroom at work and now I can’t face drinking any more of it I’ll probably try again in a few days, just in case it was something else that made me sick |
chuck it
