Billy now selling a mini version of his gish guitar
|
I might buy this if it was $20
|
This puzzle looks pretty coll: https://store.smashingpumpkins.com/p...sadness-puzzle

milking fans for every last dollar. the thing looks so damn cheap.
|
Sold out. In retrospect, perhaps it was a mistake to only have one made
$8 keychain? $20 Christmas ornament? You could tempt me. It's a solid idea; clearly the return of the guitar generated a lot of excitement. But an expensive model to sit on my desk? I don't know, guy, it it scaled so my Pickle Rick Funko Pop can hold it? Or, fucking... Jesus. |
I want to make it very, very clear that I find the whole Funko Pop thing, the idea of them all looking the same, the weird culture around it, the buying of shit just to keep it in a box on your shelf, all that fuckery, extremely repulsive
Like the only way it's possible for that crap to disgust me even more will be when they inevitably start selling NFTs of all their little shit-dolls |
Looks like he bought mass produced model guitar and let Augustus paint on it.
Which I guess still makes it a collectors item idk. |
Limited edition authentic Auggie Joop guitar replica (as used on Cyr) available now exclusively at Zuzu's.
|
LMFAO
to put it into perspective the fabulous 3LP Kid A Mnesia can be had for 50. |

It's kinda cool, but do the bat strat instead. I'd buy one

I bet that sold out in minutes
|
So shitty to make only one of something

What the fuck is with Radiohead not putting the b-sides on this set? The third disc is shit and the b-sides are better than half the album. Morning Bell twice? Cuttooth is like a top 10 RH song. Radiohead are canny capitalist sellouts. You’re not pulling the wool over my eyes, Thomas. |
why not do a thing with fender and make a proper one? same for the bat strat
|
i try not to be one of those fans that complains, but this is the dumbest thing the band has milked their fans of their money for. I'm a big fan of all things pumpkins guitar but jesus christ why would i need this?
doesn't even have the bullet truss rod. poor replica. it's kind of insulting too. like "we're all synth walls now this is all you're getting as far as guitar goes." |
I think the other part of their deal now is to made low run numbers of stuff to make it more desirable. That's a sound deal... kind of. When those "97% authentic" long sleeve polyester Zero shirts went up, I wasn't sure if I wanted/needed one but just bought one to have in case they did sell out as quickly as they did... and then they sold out in like <24 hours and they're going for $500 on eBay. Which is nuts.
No sign of these mini guitars on eBay yet. |
yes they sent me an email about this.
|
my dad has a couple of these kinds of ornaments
they're cheap plastic shit, and this looks exactly like them, but with a different paintjob i hope he didn't pay more than five new zealand bucks for each of them |

i think that tour that got cancelled in april 2020 was meant to have gish stuff, and presumably he'd bring out that guitar for bury me or whatever

C'mon, Millennials and Gen Zers are gonna love that third disc. They're gonna say things like "i listen to it whenever i feel like crying" |
Sort of on the same topic: A friend of mine (Gen X) was recently talking about Radiohead with a bunch of younger folk (Millennial I think), and he discovered that they all had this reverence for Hail to the Thief the way someone my age has for OKC or The Bends. Like they thought it was the band's masterpiece. The kids aren't alright
|
I mean I enjoyed that when it came out, and that first song that's all YOU HAVE NOT BEEN, PAYNATTENTION, PAYNATTENTION, PAYNATTENTION is the shit, but I just had to think hard for several minutes what else is on there and I came up with "Rabbit disease one" and "Sail Me to the Moon"
It's time to clean house on this planet, sad to say, but I keep hearing that Millennials are ruining everything, so, good riddance to bad rubbish perhaps Apologies to you folks but "When I am king you will be first against the wall" and all that, although maybe you don't even recognize those lyrics Jesus Tap-Dancing Christ Almighty |
There's a hilarious exchange under one of them Radiohead youtube videos that i can't find anymore that goes like this
- "Everyone else feels like crying hearing this" - "Yeah no. That's why people hate millennieals". LMFAO That said imo 2000s Radiohead is just as good as 90s Radiohead. |

I've liked pretty much all their albums, HTTT included at the time, but I think In Rainbows is sort of my cutoff for heavy relistens. TKOL has not worked for me (live versions are a big improvement, but they don't make me appreciate the studio versions any more) but Moon-Shaped Pool has some pretty dang good shit |
in rainbows is their best album no contest
