upcoming tour
No thread? I'm hitting Summercamp on 5/29. Hoping for some M2 songs
|
Well, for the festivals, we try to keep it reasonable, with a good variety of our most popular songs, along with some dynamic choices to round things out. For the club shows, we are going all out old school.

Santa Barbara for me - got some great seats over on James' side. Stoked - it's been 4 years since the Puppitos tour, excited to see where this one goes setlist-wise with the whole Rock Invasion 2 thing.

Memphis in May and Birmingham,AL here! Got “preferred pit” for Birmingham.
|
Going to see them in Birmingham since it's closest to where I live (Atlanta). Should be fun seeing them in a smaller venue.
I know Jimmy said they like to make the festival shows dynamic, but are they as dynamic as when Jimmy would cme out and play guitar on 1979 or in the small clip during Mayonaise in Vieuphoria where we see Billy playing the drums and later he would play the timpani in 2008? Because THAT was fucking dynamic. I know Monte said some great things during his tenure ("noone story", "you think you're a big deal", "you sound like a casual fan," "Billy would of sued"), but that one remains my favorite. Monte was like Charlie in It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and only we understood the full depth of his retardation. |
I really want to go but the Ohio show is the closest show and that’s about 5 hours away. I have an obligation the next morning that I have to be functional for so that’s out. Hopefully they have more dates planned as Jimmy hinted at in the interview.

Couldn't pay me to see this band live. Some actually tried with free tickets and I could crash in their motel room.
Nah, I'm good |
hopefully more dates yeah, these are all pretty bad
kentucky is relatively close and i might go depending on set / how much i can be arsed |

They aren't close enough, I'm not going into California. I'll be out of commission this summer anyway, though.

No way i am gonna see this bored out shitshow again...

Billy's pissed of face for having to play the classics, Jeff's 80s guitar nonsense, cardboard James Iha, well...

If they play anything after "There It Goes" I will livestream my breakdown as I demand a refund on Facebook.
I saw Shiny in Baltimore. It was a pretty decent show but the click-track performances were a bit soulless. The real highlight for me was asking a guy to move seats before realizing that I didn't know how to read a ticket. Then I high-fived the guy behind him as I did the walk of shame. Good times! |

Did anyone catch Rock Invasion 1 back in the day?

I hate to say this, but Willie probably thinks it's Rock Invasion 2 because CYR is SD for the new era. |
"It's what the kidz want"

I do hope Jeff adds dive bombs to EVERY SONG!
|
I think the rock invasion could be good. Festivals I guess will be greatest hits now...
