AUSTIN TX !!!
wooohooo pumpkins coming to austin, playing at the backyard... on november 2nd!
no super secret presale, public presale 9/22... anyone wanna buy a dallas pit ticket?? |
SWEET! This makes up for the Houston show.
edit: on the Tour page it's listed as Nov. 1st. http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/tour |
bleh i was going by the myspace message
|
Having the show on the 2nd makes more sense - could they play Atlanta on 10/31 and Austin on 11/1? I doubt it. It's almost 1000 miles!

fuuuuuuuuckkking hellll
|
this is awesome....11/2 is the day I fly into TX for the Dallas show. And yes, you guessed it, we'll be making the 3hr drive to Austin for this show as well!!!
Thank god I chose to get into DFW at 10am on 11/2, so it works out perfect!!! :bananamac http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/news_2042 << says 11/2 http://www.myspace.com/smashingpumpkins << says 11/2 http://www.smashingpumpkins.com/tour << says 11/1 (probably a mistake). This also means we now get to see EITS!!! :rock_on: |
wtf is EITS??? and the drive is more like 4.5 hours
|
Explosions In The Sky = opening band.
The drive from Dallas to Austin is 3 hours; if it takes you 4.5, you either drive extremely slow or make too many stops along the way. |

so who else is going to try and make both?

Dallas & Austin....no Houston.

|
Got'em....3 tickets.
|
Got 4.
|
got 4
|
damn, I'm thinking about it
|
You have plenty of time to think. I just bought mine. I don't know why they're playing the Backyard. It's too large of a venue.
|
ok I just bought a couple. seein them both nights!!

edit: actually it's 3200 for seated, 4,500 for general admission. still i hear it's a pretty great venue right? |

I would be surprised if they fit 4,500 people in there though! I always remember it to be a relatively small venue. Especially because the Woodlands show is 17,000 and the Dallas show is like 6,000. |
the woodlands pavillion sucks. it's pretty but the sound is like half as loud as any other venue i've ever been in.

Oh, it looks like EITS won't be opening this show either, according to their website. But since this SP show was just announced, maybe they just haven't announced it yet. |
i'm debating. i'm from austin, but i currently live in dallas. i have pit tickets to it. so ... drive to austin? i simply think one show is enough.
