It's great that you're feeling better, but have you realized yet you're in a Philip K Dick story and this is how you find out you're an android? |

Hopefully soon I’ll be at the part in the story where I find out that androids don’t need to hold down jobs to stay alive |

The reason that nobody has gone back in time to kill Hitler is because they actually have gone back in time to kill Hitler.
And it resulted in a timeline where somebody even worse than Hitler caused twice as many deaths. And so time-travelers had to go back in time to prevent Hitler from being killed and restore the timeline. At least that's the premise of my spec script Saving Private Hitler. I'm going to try to sell it to Paramount or Warner Bros. Discovery. In the climax, it's revealed that this loop has happened thousands of times already. |

I would have just named the kids after the computer itself.
"Come along, Hewlett, Dell, and ENIAC. Supper's ready." |
I couldn't go with "IBM." All the kids at school would call him "IBS."

I was wondering where your inspiration for your boys' names originated. Definitely not common, but also not too off the wall. Formal, I guess is the word. No idea it was tech related, but maybe US brands are different.

Only my younger son’s name is tech related…I probably shouldn’t have said famous computer guy because I guess he’s not super famous |
My girls both have biblical first names and space themed middle names. I didn't even intentionally make them biblical as I'm not particularly fond of the Bible, but I like the general femininity and elegance that I feel they possess. My oldest was actually named after a song and a character in a book, and my mom mentioned that my youngest's name would be a good name for a child before I was even pregnant with her. So their first names were both picked out way ahead of time. And I can't entirely forget my LSD -laden past, so the hippy came out with their middle names.
|
Ah right…! I only think of them as Hebrew names because I took ancient/Biblical Hebrew for a short time at uni and I remember them from vocab lists - I think we were going from Hebrew back to English so our teacher picked words we were likely to recognise. They are beautiful names!
|
Well, they are Hebrew names so you're not wrong! We all have a strong cultural identity.

Speaking of South Park, I listened to a South Park "iceberg video" (just learned about these) and I am thoroughly unimpressed. I haven't even watched the show in years and yet I kept this shit on for 45 minutes while I cleaned my kitchen. I would say these people have no life, but I guess I'd need to inklewd myself and I'm just not going there tonight.

I liked it but then I also think “what’s my age again” is a classic for the ages and that the movie robocop is a great exploration of class struggle
