Tobacco shill is what I primarily recall

Dr. Koop said last week that he was baffled by Mr. Dole's reluctance to say tobacco is addictive in light of the emergence of internal documents from the tobacco industry that, he said, show that "even tobacco executives know" that tobacco is addictive.

Asked if nicotine were addictive, Mr. Dole called it "a habit," adding, "Some people who've tried it can quit easily, others don't quit, so I guess it's addictive to some and not to others."

Tobacco became an issue in the Presidential campaign earlier this month when Mr. Dole, on a visit to tobacco-growing Kentucky, said it was not necessarily addictive. He added later: "We know it's not good for kids. But a lot of other things aren't good. Drinking's not good. Some would say milk's not good."

Occurs to me the pen he was always gripping to downplay his ruined arm would today likely be a handgun of some sort

The earliest election I can remember is 96, and I recall my dad constantly saying that Bob dole needs to lie down and take a nap before he hurts himself. Well buddy, enjoy your long dirt nap. Fuck all republicans

That's the earliest election memory for me, as well. I recall saying that Dole should win because Clinton already had a turn.

First you draw light to the fact that he readily took money from the only industry that is greasier than the Gun lobby unbeknownst to me and fueled those lies...

...THEN you drop an insanely rich ITYSL reference on top of that?

Slow clap.
