ADORE VS. CYR
Think about it:
1. Both are electro-goth masterpieces. 2. Both are better than Machina(s). 3. Both are works of art produced by WPC. Incredible parallels abound, prompting this most epic of poles!! :D |

haven't listened to cyr, but it can it really be much worse than adore?

cyr, double album clocking in at 72:06
adore, single album clocking in at 73:25 |
excellent point. adore is a bloated pretencious album that falls flat on it's face, whereas, cyr is packed full of romping, stomping, grooving tunes that show WPC at the top of his game, a late zenith, if you will.

basically a year later and I still can't tell if this is a bit or not

Not completely. Obviously I am exaggerating to provoke some feisty discussion on this otherwise moribund board. But I also actually kinda enjoy Cyr, at least until it really starts to drag in the second half.
I mean does it blow compared to SP1? Of course! Is it the best thing WPC has done in over a decade? I dare say it is! Deal with it. |
hmm what would be really interesting and feisty would be a Cyr Vs. Zeitgeist thread. A pole to end all poles! Yes!

Adore is better than Cyr, but Cyr is better than Adore.
Leave Machina out of this pls. |

Yeah. But you could also look at it as an improvement. I think that's what made me excited, that it might have been the start of something good? I dunno ... maybe not.

Thanks for redirecting my pessimism into something more productive |
I pretty much stopped listening to Billcorg after American Gothic. Just a song here and there, and they all sucked. Then I listened to the Shiny album cos James. After I wanted to kill myself.
I can't believe that I actually listened to Cyr 5 or 6 times, and sorta enjoyed 60-70% of the album. |
is that all billy's got going for him? the bar is so low, that if he manages to do something new/different it might come off as the beginning of something great. ehh.
just gimme my machine reiussie so i can get off the train. |
whatever bruh. you CHOOSE your path of darkness and negativity. i CHOOSE to embrace the light and positivity of WPC's late resurgence.
