I sold off, I made a couple thousand off it. I can’t decide whether to buy back in for the expected pump on 4/20.

Hey, at least ya made some decent scratch off of it! What did you buy/sell at, if you don’t mind?

Will be interesting to see what happens on 04.20. I’m holding either way at this point.

yeah Robinhood really fucked some people, not that they were the only one. I use Vanguard for investments and they never restricted buying, but RH and others screwed people out of so much money. I also have Blackberry stock (that I bought around $12) that I had a sell order at $30 which it def would have reached if they hadn't restricted buying. I still have it and I am pretty sure it will eventually be in the green again and I only have a few hundred invested but killing the momentum like that better result in some kind of prosecution (it won't though).

Oh for sure! Last week when Doge spiked, of course, Robinhood crashed. I don’t blame people for being absolutely furious. Like you said, it’s not like it’s the first time this has happened. I have invested in some stocks but they don’t really seem to be popping off but imma hang on to em and wait and see. I’ve gotten really big into cryptocurrency so I’m definitely more invested in that. I will check out Vanguard and see what’s up.

I have one already. I only put into crypto what I am ok with losing and so far it’s been very kind to me. And it’s fun :)

i feel like crytpo is a classic bubble. worthless asset wildly inflated by rampant unregulated speculation. eventually will crash as always and a lot of "money" will disappear. why is this different from any other bubble?

also at what point do the people on tv start getting upset enough about inflation to raise interest rates? 'cause inflation has already started and is just getting worse.

i only own a few individual stocks. rest of my money is in index funds and one energy ETF (which I also paired back recently). blackberry, disney, pinterest, and a couple niche medical companies creating cures for rare cancers. and my one whole share of Gamestop. I don't have that much money to invest anyway but I agree buying individual stocks is risky af

Vanguard is for old people but it's solid if you don't want to worry about trading restrictions. I think they were one of the only major brokerages that didn't restrict at least GME back in Jan or whatever. I think also Fidelity, Wells Fargo, and Citibank and a couple others... But it didn't really matter since everyone got fucked either way. You can't do things like buy partial shares though and the website has no bells and whistles.
