Thread for posting your musics

I don't remember where the last one of these went, but seems like blissed n' gone's thread is getting hijacked by other uncouth individuals who need somewhere centralized to post.

Here's some of my solo stuff, kind of written to be acoustic, but full-bandy the way I recorded things:

Ghost Toys Castle on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

And sorry, gotta turn it up a bit, mainly the first song. Any comments appreciated.

I've posted the Boutros Bubba myspace so often that I'll do something different now. This is the solo project of the singer of my band: Spoelstra on MySpace Music - Free Streaming MP3s, Pictures & Music Downloads

He makes a song-based kind of electro and something that vaguely resembles country music.

Some of this stuff actually makes me uneasy, like listening to a Picasso painting or something, in a good way I mean. I'm probably going to have to listen again when I feel like being on edge.

I like where did that come from, and the vocals sound really nice, not sure how those are done. On the parts where it goes from D to I think C? I would've liked to hear a different chord, but of course that's one of the choices that distinguishes your own style.

Mablak, your songs are great. They sound like a mix of Cocteau Twins, Flaming Lips & My Bloody Valentine members gelling well. The first track is the best, with the most personality and melody.

This is a parody album I recorded in 2001, which dates it, but it's funny. Parodies of Britney Spears, Blink 182, Eminem, Limp Bizkit, Backstreet Boys, Dr. Dre, Nsync and Snoop Dogg.
Not to be taken seriously. ANy comments are appreciated, however, as my high school pipe dream doesn't like living in a vacuum. Download Jam Meister Josh - t.v. generation x.y.u..zip from Sendspace.com - send big files the easy way

Thanks, I'll have to try Cocteau Twins and MBV again, I never gave them a full album listen really. I listened to your Britney song, but Weird Al-type parody just isn't my thing in general.

That's cool, I'll tell him. I've listened to so many Picasso paintings and I never heard anything. :(

So is myspace still the best way to "get your music out there"? I've been working on an electronica project for awhile now but I'm guessing it's a little too late to ride the myspace music phenomenon. Is there any other sites or something?

redbull 01-24-2010 12:13 AM

it's easy because everyone knows to use it. much easier to tell someone "oh, we have a myspace" than "oh, we have a soundclick/bandcamp/whatever"

Yeah, some of you hated this years ago, which is fine. But some of you who dug it before and maybe are into the whole Elephant 6 thing might dig this...

My band, The Curiously Strong Peppermints, after 6 years of recording finially finished our album three months ago. Some of the songs might be familiar, but they are remixed and feature new vocal tracks and misc production, and of course all sequenced as one cohesive album (which was the intent all along!) Our bio claims we sound like "Elliott Smith backed by The Flaming Lips playing The Beatles backwards" but whatever you want.

Free copy here: Endless Fields of Poppy | CLLCT or http://www.sendspace.com/file/g0r6xz
Our myspace is this: www.myspace.com/cspm

Eh, whatever. You guys will probably hate this if Netphoria hasn't changed in the past 4 years... :p

This is a segment of something i've been working on--it's currently about a minute and a half long, so yes, it's still in a somewhat infantile stage. But please, someone, give it a quick listen and tell me what you think. There are accordions and banjos and screechy sounds and all sorts of other fun things. And since I generally live inside a lonely cocoon, I would really like to know what people other than myself think of the music I make.

Please and thank you.
