A friend of mine that recorded the last pixies album heard that coloring book story from paz.. except in the version he told me, she was reading said book outside the cafe, billy saw her, struck up a friendly conversation, then asked "where'd you get that book?" "oh i just bought it." "that looks like the exact copy i sold and i regret it.. i want it back. can i have it?" she says sure gives it to him then he walks away. she also talked about how controlling he was in the studio, to which my friend said "it's no different than how J mascis or Frank Black behaves in the studio." etc etc.
