Digging Gore more than I remember...it definitely has that ST vibe, where the actual instrumentation is at its best, but then they struggle to write a memorable chorus. Doomed User is just a massive cockblock for example. Still a pretty solid album.

I love Gore. I don’t know why it wasn’t well received by some fans. Reminds me of white pony.
If I had to pick a favorite it would probably be kny tbh |

it doesn't remind me of any of their previous shit, tbh. i definitely don't hate it, the whole breezy/seagull atmosphere is pretty refreshing after roughly 15 yrs of grimey yet dreamy darkness
most people hate it because of the production, i think most of the songs are good |

|
Just dropped the needle on self titled.
What a way to open a record. |
Hooooo boy deathblow is so good
|
yeah there's really not too much on there I don't like - last track is kinda incomplete-ish but even then still works & Lucky You is at worst a skipper when i'm not in the mood for it
|
Yeah, self-titled has some really great deep cuts. Also great to listen to on a sweltering hot July afternoon. That album just feels hot, claustrophobic and dripping with sweat. But like, in a good way.

Not like Took's pappy's asscrack.

it's so good - & that video is fuckin' awesome too
when i hear something like this, recorded over 25 yrs into their career, it just makes it clearer how dudes like Bill Corgan have no excuse to be putting out such shit can't wait for the albm |

You hear newer Deftones music and their sound still has that fire... Then, you hear newer Billy Corgan and Smashing Pumpkins music and it's like... |
That Ohms riff is real nice.

I like it
|
the video itself is fucking awesome, actually
maybe the most technically impressive they've ever done while also just being cool to look at - love the implementation of the cover-art eyes at various locations in there too |
it looks like a videogame inspired by blade runner and holy mountain and hero

Cover reminds me of:
