you have it backwards. ACA you need open enrollment. medicaid (afaik) you can do anytime on that florida access site. at least that used to be how it worked. just apply for everything all at once. medicaid/food stamps/reduced phone service etc. i don't have medicaid but i have medicaid cost of share at like $2500 or something like that, so if something happens to me and my out o of pocket goes over the threshold they pay the rest. you should at least get that and your oop for that would be much less. i'm about 200% the poverty level and it goes by that.

hmm. i tried to sign up for medicaid and they told me i had to wait until the end of the year because i missed open enrollment. for the aca thing i got a bunch of options to choose from, all copay. maybe i went to the wrong site.

redbreegull 03-23-2019 10:32 PM

Medicaid is open for enrollment year-round.

FoolofaTook 03-23-2019 10:44 PM

Disco King 03-26-2019 08:33 PM

Then again, maybe I don't empathize with bipolar because I've just got solid depression the whole way through, baby

Disco King 03-26-2019 08:33 PM

But srsly though, what happened?

Elphenor 03-26-2019 08:38 PM

vixnix 03-26-2019 08:39 PM

FoolofaTook 03-26-2019 08:41 PM

Elphenor 03-26-2019 08:42 PM

I can not square it in my mind

okay this is my life

and this is this girl you dated's life

and they are 2 separate things

my brain will not allow it right now

vixnix 03-26-2019 08:43 PM

what about coffee and donuts

Elphenor 03-26-2019 08:45 PM

it's worse than the 2 year relationship I was in and I don't know why

I guess because she moved and I just won't see her or anybody who knows her

I try to go out and meet people and she already knows them because the punk "scene" is not all that big in Texas (at least where I'm at)

Elphenor 03-26-2019 08:48 PM

when you date girls with similar music interest you have no where to run afterwards I suppose

vixnix 03-26-2019 08:49 PM

oh, you need a "moving on" album or something. Or a book. I liked this one.

one of the quotes I took with me into my general "post relationship" life was compromise: is me lowering my standards, so that you can meet them

just keep dulling the pain of heartbreak with anything, until it passes. It will pass.

Are you having dreams? Dreams were the killer for me. I would go days and weeks without even really thinking about him, and then BAM I'd have a dream and wake up and cry, before I'd even had a shower or breakfast.

LAMESAUCE

Elphenor 03-26-2019 08:53 PM

strangely

I have got a text from every ex that they "dreamed about me"...both recent times this meant we started talking again and then they dumped me

I don't dream

I feel no hatred and I don't want to get even

but yeah nothing works but time

I just don't think I can avoid her ultimately and her reason for dropping our relationship makes no sense

Elphenor 03-26-2019 09:02 PM

after almost 6 months of dating and sex is it not strange to just ghost someone for 3 weeks

and then text them and say I don't think this is right

I couldn't even get a phone call

queenoftheswine 03-26-2019 11:14 PM

Move out of Texas.

Yeah, that is fucked up.

I guess because I find it hard to see a given person on a regular basis, I could be going on dates with somebody overcast six-month period, but still only have seen them four times, and not be exclusive or "a thing" yet.

But it sounds like you guys were actually a couple. Who the fuck ghosts their boyfriend/girlfriend?

Elphenor 03-27-2019 08:07 AM

we were a couple and then we weren't and then we were and then she vanished

really it wasn't a good relationship ever if I'm being honest with myself

I just can't get over it

Elphenor 03-27-2019 08:10 AM

I am still trying to get her to talk to me

and like she is...but clearly does not care either way

I like this advice

but unfortunately drug/alcohol abuse has been the only anything to help at all

Cut her out. Lose her number. Block her on all social media. Be social and talk to other people. Hit the gym.

i got similar treatment in my time, and that was 7 years. take that to mean what you will

it's complete inability to cope. i could kinda get that.
pretty selfish but self preservation and whatever.

as senior, might i suggest a period of introspection?

funnily enough, i've never had to do this with girlfriends. only a best friend i had to cut out recently for essentially betraying my trust in a huge way, after letting bygones be bygones for a few years now i finally just had to say fuck it and cut all ties. most days it's perfectly fine and i'm better for it, but then say last night i'll see someone share something on their Facebook story or whatever that will kind of make me sick to my stomach and "see red" all over again

it's good to have reminders of how you fucked up. just so long as they aren't staring you in the face 24/7

Elphenor 03-27-2019 01:25 PM

honestly every day off I wake up and start hitting the bottle

this is rent money I'm drinking right now

I tried going for long walks and that initially was working but it's not working anymore

Elphenor 03-27-2019 01:29 PM

I'm gonna see my Dad today it's just I come from a family where men are not to be emotional

I was surprised she didn't block me lol

it's not as if she was looking for a friendship

she just does not care...at all

buzzard 03-27-2019 04:27 PM

Ask her to solve a debate that you and a friend are having before abruptly insulting her.

Make sure you're wearing eyeliner and enough jewelry to emit a consistent jangling noise.

vixnix 03-27-2019 04:29 PM

Isn’t this the girl you were dating when you had a crush on cute blue vest girl though? I kinda got the feeling you were just enjoying the benefits of being in a relationship (I.e. sex and companionship) but still very much keeping an eye out for a better package

She might have sensed that...humans can be pretty intuitive.

Elphenor 03-27-2019 05:24 PM

no when I met her I abruptly stopped caring about blue vesty lol

though she tried to talk to me again

Elphenor 03-27-2019 05:29 PM

I should have kept an eye out though!

because like I went to a show she didn't want to go to and I could barely make it into the venue without some smiling girl wanting to talk to me

which is basically how I met her

if I don't have to meet new people though I won't because I just hate it
