I had to stay in a hotel with my little moon last night, and she had quite the meltdown at bedtime. I was also pissed, for various reasons, so I put on the lullaby versions of the Pumpkins songs and we were both asleep before it was half finished. Cute.

I like planets

this is about a planet called Venus, one of the closest ones from my home planet, probably different when you're on planet murca

Venus is only my 6th favorite planet in our paltry solar system of 8. Needs work.

Then again Earth is only number 4, so my criteria are questionable.

My kid turned 1 and a half today. Half birthdays count at her age. I spent my Valentine's Day inside a doctor's office, and will spend my birthday in a dental chair next month. I am what they call the Real Deal.

i reminded my white woman boss i was taking three days off at the end of this month (i told her in december that i would not be taking any holiday vacation but would need these days off and she told me to remind her).

things are pretty contentious with her so she tried to flex on me saying 'i guess i will allow it, but you need to give a months advanced noticed blah blah'. no one has ever had to ask for time-off one month in advance.

i basically told her i was giving her notice, not asking for permission. fuck off with that noise.

"Since this was okayed in December and since I have given you two weeks advance notice before with no issues, I had no reason to assume you needed a reminder one month in advance. This was never practiced or stipulated verbally or in writing by you.

Can you explicitly break down ranges of requested time-off and how much advanced notice is required for future reference? Thanks."

My kids were goofing around with a train set today in the living room, and spooked the cat so bad that she now refuses to enter the living room and is literally afraid of her own shadow :(

What the hell. I think it was the last straw and now she is actually is a mentally ill cat. :(

I picked her as a ratter from the SPCA in 2008, and she was young then, maybe only two, but she’d had two litters of kittens already. She was rescued from a gang house.

I feel sad thinking that she might have some deep and unresolved trauma that was triggered by the train set.

Now I’m just sitting here in the living room so that she can also sit in the living room and and see that everything is OK. It’s taking forever :(. Her tail is still twitching and she’s getting spooked by her shadow :(
