Halsey
New album is called If I Can't Have Love, I Want Power, which is apparently not cool with the forum software if I want to put it in the title of the thread
Pop record produced by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who can say no to this, I ask you You can hear the NIN on this one I saw a review call this a "Smashing Pumpkins pastiche" and I don't disagree |
I'm curious to hear this. Would you say it's a more intelligent album from her?
|
A cerebral Halsey, if you will...
|
Considered answering you literally so as to infuriate you that I'd missed the pun
I'm just going to let it go, this time |
So you're saying you'd rather be up above it than down in it?
|
Would you please listen to the music and say intelligent things about it |
listening to that first 1
production is typically great song's ok as far as recent nin x artists that begin with the letter 'h' collaborations, i think i prefer that thing he just did with Health |
also think i prefer the 2nd song, will probably check out the album at some point soon
you gonna watch that little interview they have going today? |
Fuzzy guitars does not make it Pumpkins-esque. I don't know, the lyrics really dampen any enjoyment I might have had.

I am imagining that, when Billy first started using this line about having to write and produce the way "kids today" listen to music, or about coming up with a modern sound, he actually knew what he was doing and came up with a sound not unlike this |
The end of the 2nd song sounds very NIN, Fragile era.
