The fuzz at the end, though, is a little overdramatic. THRILLHO 10-12-2002, 09:13 PM that video sucked. there wasn't even ONE shot of courtney love. i mean, come on. The director also seemed to REALLY like "lithium" footage, which could have been toned down a bit. Some more Reading footage would've been nice, as would film footage of the band w. Sonic Youth.. Tessellation 10-12-2002, 11:21 PM I enjoyed the "sliver" outtakes immensely... Cherub Angel 10-13-2002, 01:25 AM I laughed at the part where they showed Kurt in the florescent yellow ballroom dress on Headbangers Ball. Decent video in general. Pretty good for being completely composed of clips from live performances that happened ten years ago. Now that's weird to say. I agree that they should have showed more of the Krist and Dave. Tessellation 10-13-2002, 01:33 AM Originally posted by Cherub Angel I laughed at the part where they showed Kurt in the florescent yellow ballroom dress on Headbangers Ball. LOL, yes. I wonder what Francis Bean thought when she first saw that:D bonsor 10-13-2002, 01:35 AM stupid Tessellation 10-13-2002, 01:35 AM Originally posted by Cherub Angel Decent video in general. Talking Heads' video for "lifetime piling up" is very similar, but they work on different(good) levels.. bonsor 10-13-2002, 01:36 AM Remember all of tupacs post-mortum videos? They were fucking cool. This shit is just fucking stupid. Gumby 10-13-2002, 01:57 AM *creams pants* Good video I just wish I got to see them live. Man I feel old:( Tessellation 10-13-2002, 02:09 AM Originally posted by Gumby * I just wish I got to see them live. me too:( Mason R Butler 10-13-2002, 04:57 AM Originally posted by ****** Remember all of tupacs post-mortum videos? They were fucking cool. This shit is just fucking stupid. Yeah! Remember that one with the cartoon Tupac? They should've just made a cartoon video for YKYR. They could've used kids, like that Biggie video Spike Jonze directed. Junebug 10-13-2002, 04:15 PM I liked it, especially how they made it look like he was singing the actual song in some parts. What were they doing in the hallway towards the end? Was Kurt drunk or something? More Krist and Dave would have been nice, though, as everyone else said. Pumpkinpie 10-13-2002, 04:37 PM Originally posted by Junebug More Krist and Dave would have been nice, though, as everyone else said. well, hasn't it always been about Kurt Kurt Kurt in this band??? Postmortem videos?! somaaddict 10-13-2002, 06:08 PM Originally posted by ****** Remember all of tupacs post-mortum videos? They were fucking cool. This shit is just fucking stupid. yeah, just look at the "unofficial" video for the pumpkins' "untitled" and you'd see that this video could've been a lot better. a big problem with it, i think, is that the footage doesn't really fit the feel of the song, the whole stage-trashing theme especially. he's screaming "pain", not "violence! anarchy! destruction!" bonsor 10-13-2002, 08:43 PM Originally posted by DeviousJ Postmortem videos?! shut it Thurston Hearts 10-13-2002, 09:56 PM How depressing. Tessellation 10-13-2002, 11:06 PM "lithium" was to be an animated fairy-tale. They should've used that concept for this vid... GrungeGuy 10-14-2002, 01:24 AM I am not to happy about the way this whole thing is being marketed, but I am also not suprised. So I will take it for what it's worth. For what it is it is a great video. It is done really well. Not to much new footage. My fav part is Kurt playing drums. I have seen those stills before. It is from a bootleg from 90 I believe. I am not sure of the video it is on DigitalNirvana.net. Kurt would have hated it. french_rap_sucks 10-14-2002, 05:30 PM talk about a bush ripoff. |
