Default Live Music Archive - Hum

I got in contact with one of the band members over a year ago and got the thumbs up to upload live recordings. I finally got around to ripping/uploading some shows. Enjoy! More to come in the future...

I vaguely remember the band, but I also vaguely remember that people thought they were great. Possibly as great as sliced bread. Can anyone confirm this?

Not bad.

I was expecting it to be more Dandy Warhol-like.

man, i had forgotten how awful the guitar sound is on this record. i used to have this solid state fender chorus amp thingy and this is EXACTLY what the distortion channel sounded like with the chorus on.....just awful. still, not a bad record.

Aren't these two phrases synonomous? I agree that Hum's sound continued to improve over the years, reaching an amazing level on Downward Is Heavenward with the addition of Mark Rubel's production. Hum was like some sort of wonderful pop shoegaze band. Centaur put out a great album, too.

Centaur played at my college a few years back. They were really good, but acted like they couldn't get off stage fast enough. Ahh well. I hope Matt does something musical sometime again.

Thanks for the effort in putting all of these up. I'm not familiar with live Hum so I look forward to checking some of these out. Any suggestions as to the best one to start with?
