man, i had forgotten how awful the guitar sound is on this record. i used to have this solid state fender chorus amp thingy and this is EXACTLY what the distortion channel sounded like with the chorus on.....just awful. still, not a bad record.

I agree that Hum's sound continued to improve over the years, reaching an amazing level on Downward Is Heavenward with the addition of Mark Rubel's production. Hum was like some sort of wonderful pop shoegaze band. Centaur put out a great album, too.
