Question Gish cd question

Yes. Another release related question.

I have this Australian Gish release.
Let me describe it. Pics or scans might follow later.

Back:
5 020803 002020
HUTCD12
CAROLINE
(P) 1991 Hut Recordings
(C) 1991 Hut Recordings
Manufactured and distributed
by EMI Music Group Australasia.

Cd:
(silver with text, no purple or red or picture)
HUT CD 12
Virgin
Caroline records
(P) 1991 CAROLINE RECORDS
Made in Australia

Now this raises some questions.
- Caroline and Hut and Virgin mentioned on the same release? What's the deal here?
- HUTCD12? Isn't it supposed to be HUTCD2? Or is this an error on the spfc.org?

Related question:
Does anyone own an original UK Hut version of Gish, not remastered? Does it say HUTCD2 or HUTCD12? And how does the cd look like? Purple with band picture? Red? Or just cd silver with text?

Thanks.

Now this is something completely different. I can't remember where I got this picture, but does anyone know what it is/where it's from?

It looks pretty neat, even if it is a bootleg.

Well for one it's "Some Wax."

It's a bootleg lable producing CD's for Russia(or for export from Russia to naive people around the world. Either way, they're blatantly fake.

I will. But first I'd like to get answers to some of my questions in my first post. You know, to get the full picture.

Thanks!

I thought it was fake. "Some Wax" sounds like "fake" and the font used for "Smashing Pumpkins" doesn't match with the font on the front cover.

Related: I own an LP being CAROL 1705. SPFC has the cassette and cd listed as 1705-2, no lp. This is just the original 91 lp pressing?

And i also own CARLP16, a german lp version of the listed CARCD16.

I just realised that i actually own 5 different versions of gish. Pretty pathetic. Doesn't beat the 7 machinas though.

Ooooooh! Can you please check something out for me?

CAROL 1705 is indeed the original US release. But there's also a reprint with this number.

Could you please check the inscriptions in the vinyl? Does it say both "HUTLPX" and "CAR 1705" ? Or only "CAR 1705"?

And is the Caroline logo on the back of the sleeve the same as on the Caroline Gish and Lull cd you own or does it look more modern?

What is the barcode?

Thanks.

EDIT: Maybe it might be better if the questions regarding the Gish vinyl are answered in the Gish vinyl thread and not in the Gish cd thread. You know, to avoid chaos that might make the universe implode.
