Most of the tracks on that list aren't any different from the songs available on cd. I just wondered why the same track was there twice.

But yeah, on top of that, what's the deal with all the tracks that are widely available elsewhere? I think the interesting tracks on that list easily fit on one cd.

I was the one who created the SPVC based off my collection. I don't know why I recorded I am One twice from the Gish LP. Guess that was a screw up on my part.

The goal initially was to have my collection on CD, just to be able to listen to a few things that were vinyl exclusive (e.g. Adore Mono, some of the mixes, etc.) on CD. I told a few people about it and traded it out and it got out and distributed amongst the community. At the time, a lot of the tracks were not widely available (I believe I did this circa 2001).

Anyway, I just wanted to let those who didn't have a record player have an opportunity to experience the "vinyl sound". heh.

Shawn you're wrong man! You called it the SPEVC! And it's a cool comp, thanks I've enjoyed it from time to time.

You are right Dead!! haha.

It was the SP EXTENSIVE vinyl collection. Someone else had done a SPVC but only like on 1 or 2 discs with some hit and miss tracks. I figured that something should be created that was more complete or definitive. Heh.

Thanks for correcting me, my mind gets fuzzy after all these years.

I believe so, but all songs that were available on CD were sourced from CD on that comp!! That kinda defeats the purpose!

I've noticed how the person who shared his(/her?) original Moon transfer on the Hub a couple of days ago also had this entire compilation in his(/her?) share.

chauncy or something.
