Default Tickets for Jimmy Kimmel "mini-concert" available again

http://www.1iota.com/events,3853,Jim...i-Concert.html

I'm sure a few of you are willing to battle rush hour on the 101 for this.

its very easy to get in without tickets. When I lived in Hollywood, I went a few times a week and I never had tickets. The people who let you in are 1iota employees who are really just some kids who work for minimum wage and dont really care. nothing is roped off - its a public parking lot in the back if its outside, and its the lobby of the el capiton (which fits about 40 people if they are going to film it inside. show up and you will get in.

Also- the "tickets" are just emails that you print out and bring to the taping, you can print out as many of the 1 email you get. There is no barcode scanning or anything. They are just happy if people show up. Also if you are in the front of the line to get in- that doesnt mean you will be in the front for the performance. Unless you push and run. even then they have people they pay to look good and "rock out" that they make stand in the front row to make the show look better.

Thanks for the info. If the arrival time is 6:15pm do you just have to stand outside for a couple hours until SP plays? Or do you also get to go inside and watch the taping of Jimmy Kimmel Live? What time do you think SP would play?

BTW tickets appear to be available again

They only let in the amount of people who can fit in the studio audience for the regular show taping. when the interview segments are done taping, everyone leaves the seats and walks out to the lobby where the band plays and watches the band taping.

If its outside in the back parking lot then its different, and you dont have to sit and watch the interview taping.

Hmm.. Natalie Zea? I'll have to see if they fixed it for the west coast..

if my cell phone doesn't get confiscated I'll try to relay the mini-concert setlist Friday night .. show tapes 7-8pm pacific so the mini-concert should be around 7:55p-8:30p

I'll be doing an HD recording tonite. If someone knows how I can transfer it in HD off my Comcast box I can get it out to everyone...

I'm capping it too, but it will already be on my computer in HD. I have a tuner card in my computer, so you won't really have to transfer it unless I screw something up.

Haha. Billy will NOT abandon Superchrist>>>United States. (Or vice versa.)
I guess he's not giving up on the Zeitgeist material. OTOH...I guess it's cool it's not the same "festival setlist" from 10 years ago.

Thanks for the updates; I guessed that they would go with a heavy song selection to go with g.l.o.w. I wonder what song they skipped. I guess it doesn’t really matter though...it probably wasn’t a newly played song anyways, that probably won’t happen till the tour really gets started.

I guess what I find interesting is that Billy does not really seem at all concerned that his concert-going audience will become impatient and bored by the succession of long, droning songs and extended jams. And that those are two of the songs he kept for a "mini-concert."

is this available anywhere?

I guess the "no hits" strategy applies even to Kimmel.

A portion of Porcelina was soundchecked before they did G.L.O.W. a bunch of times. I wonder if maybe *that* was the skipped song.

Yes.. Porcelina.
