Default To look at setlists or not...

I have this problem every tour, and every tour I fall to the urge. That's why going to the tour opener is so awesome, because no one can spoil it for you. We know that the 2 night setlists are going to be the same, so are you gonna do it?

I haven't made up my mind yet. I'm going to the Chicago dates, 19 days after the "real" start of the tour. Ignoring setlists for that long of time is going to be tough, and I probably won't be able to do it unless other people are.

i was having the same conundrum myself and came to decision that i would only check the single night shows because billy said they would ******* songs not seen on the same-set double nights, giving me sort of an idea without truly knowing.

That's why I decided to go to the first two dates so I don't have that problem.

I was going over this same thing in my head...I've basically decided not to go on the forums from the start of the tour until I see the Chicago dates. You know there will be the "OMG SOMA AND RUBY PLAYED!@!" threads. (unless we can get some kind of spoiler control for this??)

Awesome, if there are other people not giving in then it will make it easier for me to not look at the setlists.

Last tour was awesome since I was able to go to Davenport (tour opener) and Hammond (2nd show). Even still, I had to avoid Netphoria completely for about a week before the shows due to all the soundcheck threads.

The utter shock of "Eye", "Transformer", "Speed Kills", etc at Davenport was AWESOME and I'd highly recommend avoiding the setlists, which means avoiding the forums entirely if you really want to be safe. Try filling your time with something else... maybe start a new book? LOL.

why would you need to know the setlist before the show? the only person I know on here that actually does that is monte. just threaten monte through pms and no worries

not really. just have someone post like a sticky thread at the top saying that if you are going to post the setlist about any particular show, you won't post it in that shows thread, but in a new thread with some kind of spoiler warning. or it could just say to wait until after the show...

During tours especially, there is occasionally useful information on the boards. I'd probably skip over this subforum entirely.

Yeah Pizza Club, but you know once they tear out Bodies or Ruby the main SP board will have a HUGE jack fest over it and it'll be written in a thread title.

I never really thought about this until now...but it's only been since this year that the band started repeating the exact same setlists

I'll probably end up looking

I spend too much of the down time during the day to lay off the board completely

I usually look, but I don't think I will for the anniversary tour. Even after all the peeking I did, there were still a couple surprises for me on the Zeitgeist tour and I think I like being surprised a little better. It won't shatter my life to hear a little about the show going in, but I'd rather not go in knowing everything.
