On ticketmaster.com, it's stated that the pre-sales are for American Express card members. So I think that's the only way, at the moment.

there's a 3rd option for nyc.

for one night: US $49.00 - US $89.00
for both nights: US $53.00 - US $93.00

i don't quite understand what you mean, there is a link to the pricing for both nights. it's like, an entirely separate sale from the other two nights.

ok perhaps some big news here!

according to ticketmaster, the pre-sale password is the customer service number on the back of a american express gold card

I think it's pretty lame that American Express holders get first dibs on tickets. What the hell is that about? These aren't just any normal shows. They should find a way to get the first dibs to the real fans.

to be fair, they probably provided billy with a fair share of compensation for it which may have allowed the band to do it's two night discount shows. i mean, four bucks for an equally priced show is a big hit. gotta regroup the cash somewhere.

I think it's more of a Ticketmaster and AMEX partnership. They do this same presale for other concerts as well, not just these Pumpkins shows. I'm sure the band has nothing to do with it. Plus I think some venues only deal with Ticketmaster, the same goes for LiveNation. So in a roundabout way, they are forced into this presale.

I also noticed that for the nyc shows the presale is only for individual night purchases and not for the 2 day pass.

Everyone knew the password was the 1800 number, but you have to use an AMEX to pay for the tickets too.

If you don't have an AMEX card, it's probably not worth the trouble to try to access t
