I thought the show was great & Jimmy absolutely killed it with the last half of I Of The Mourning. If I had to complain, it was seeing Billy not pick up a guitar until after Ava Adore, Cupid de Locke, & 1979 were done. I just feel weird seeing him perform without a guitar.

That was quite possibly the funniest thing I have ever seen at a show. Everyone around me was laughing. Another tight show by the pumpkins tonight. Tonight's setlist was vastly superior to last night's, but Billy's playing last night was incredible. While I'm at it I would like to thank the couple that left 3 songs in for leaving so my friend and I could upgrade. These two nights were incredible and at both I was only 6 rows away from the stage. Talk about an early b-day present. ![]() |

If ya wanna play smashing pumpkins songs, be the smashing pumpkins. If you don't, then don't. Don't just use the name for endorsements and easy show sell outs. It's better to play to half packed theaters then to half ass your songs cause you just want to play new stuff anyways.
Had this re-started with some integrity....playing the songs that actually mean anything, instead of the radio songs(I could have gone this 2 years without once hearing bullet, today, 1979, disarm, cherub rock, or zero), the fans would have come right along and more willing to head down a new journey. Not once has the thought been given to playing cherry and obscured and all these songs that have changed a smaller number of peoples lives more, and pepper in hummer, here is no why, and other songs that everybody still knows too and doesn't alienate everyone. 6/27/07 was still the best show I've ever seen. Those who were there understand exactly why. set the controls is wonderful...if it segues into an ode to no one!! Last edited by AlphaCentauri : 11-08-2008 at 08:25 AM. |

The band played 48 songs in two nights....When is enough, enough? Bodies, Soma, Mayonaise, Galapogos, etc....The Smashing Pumpkins were here in NYC! |

Wow that is some fast turnaroundBilly vs. Heckler FTW http://www.archive.org/download/tsp2...4.t15_64kb.mp3 Sounds staged to me, and Billy said a lot more than TYDOOMA.. he said TYDOOMAAPIIMM.. even if people on here were sitting next to the dude maybe he was a plant.. if billy can take the time to create elaborate costumes and other BS I'm sure he can pay some joker $50 to sit in a seat for 2 hours and say a couple lines on stage |

I can't really tell if it was staged or not. It kind of sounds like it was, but eh.
I wouldn't put it past Billy to stage it, or at least partly stage it. If he didn't stage it, then Billy's a fucking asshole. He knows the fan isn't happy, so he has him come on the stage knowing that the crowd, after hearing the GOOD setlist, will ridicule the fan for saying the previous night's lackluster setlist was lame. How strategic, Billy. And then he goes on to trash talk the guy after he's left the stage and not face to face. This time next year, Jeff and Ginger and Lisa won't be in the band. But newsflash: it won't be because Billy said so. They'll be tired of this shit real quick all on their own. |

Ok, after listening to the boot, which sounds amazing by the way and I greatly appreciate it being posted, I have to say there's probably a 99% chance that the heckler was staged. It was hilarious to listen to, and I think it was a good idea after the previous night, just to take away any possible left over tension. Its a great sounding recording though and thanks again to the poster. Song for a Son continues to sound amazing, and hearing Soma and Galapagos never gets old.

Friday night's show was great. I did the 5 star VIP and it was worthe every penny. We got a free t-shirt that was specialized and a keychain. We were lead into the soundcheck for 45 minutes and heard a few songs that were not even played that night. Then Billy and Jimmy came out, took pictures, signed autographs and talked with us. Then we had like 25 minutes of Q&A were they were really open and really cool about eveything. Both of them thanked us very much for coming. Then we had the option to continue to listen to the sound check or go up stairs to the preshow party and have some free beer and snacks. After listening to about 2 more songs, we went and grabbed a few beers and some snacks before the doors opened at 7. Then time for the show in the second row. Over all it was a great night. And how many bands do u know that play for over 2.5 hours?

![]() some parts on landslide, galapogos, and MCIS sound messy, but anyway songs like bodies and gossamer are terrific! SOS-robin hood is crazy, but actually very well constructed, i like it. |

i thought that shit was a joke when I heard about it... and that sounds very fucking staged.... If it wasn't and that kid is for real he sounds like an idiot.. "last nights set list FUCKING SUCKED MANNNN" I can't imagine a normal fan articulating it quite like that...
why would Billy even do that |
