Do bands play electric at DAR? I've only seen the Foos and Frank Black there but it was all acoustic.

Man fuck this shit. Venue totally sucks, and tickets are too expensive. Oh well. I guess I'll be there Wednesday.

Possible acoustic show? It's an odd venue for them to pick, I really can't see them "rocking out" at DAR. They do a lot of high school graduations there- usually the only shows they have are more low-key acts.

I think if it were acoustic I might have to bite the bullet and do both nights.

Most AMEX presales have the 1800 customer service number (which you can find by googling or going to americanexpress.com) from the back of the card as the password. Sometimes you have to use an AMEX to pay; sometimes you don't.

Excellent. I have an AMEX card and I live right by DC. This was meant to be for me. I saw them play at constitution Hall back in 98', awesome show...and had my high school graduation @ constitution hall in 04. Lovely venue it is.

Heard about these shows on the radio tonight. Wife doesn't know it yet, but I am so going to be there. She talked me out of Driving 4 hours to see them in August. She inst going to talk me out of driving an hour and a half. I will probably only go one night if they are going to do the same set both nights like the August shows.... Also it says pre-sale tomorrow does any one have any info??

Preorder is OPEN for these two DC shows.

Looks like ORCH tix aren't going to be easy to get, though. It's already giving me "Tier" seats

Doesn't look like you need a password to get on the pre-sale. I am coming up with orchestra tickets row LL for the 11th and row JJ for the 12th. I haven't pulled the trigger yet. I may wait till Saturday and see if anything else better shows up. It also looks like they are trying to sell the concert similar to Metallica and Pearl Jam. They are offering 256 kbps mp3s for 16$s available for download after the show is over from livesmashingpumpkins.com

----EDIT----

You can only purchase the tickets with an American Express card, which I don't have. I guess I will have to wait till Saturday.

It sounds like it is a download of the show. Most likely a soundboard. Metallica and Pearl Jam have been doing this for awhile, and I am sure other bands have been to.

Just got my tickets for the 11th and 12th. BOX19 GA , and ORCH MM . I'm excited! I was on the phone with DC101 radio station and almost got 4th row tix they were giving away. I was flipping out cause I was on hold with the radio station while doing ticketmaster at the same time.

i hear ya.
also i based my entire purchase on DaveKShape's post so hopefully it will not be the same show both nights. however i do not doubt him because back when the band came to dc for their album launch all his info was solid and i was able to get tix thanks to his heads up.

Tickets seem to be getting better rather then worse, I just pulled row U in orchestra, these are the best I have seen all day. I wonder what Saturday will hold in store for tickets.
