Default Buying tickets on EBAY

Hi, I don't attend many shows in the USA and was wondering if it would be wise to wait and try to buy tickets to a show on ebay. Often times in canada I am able to get much better tickets for cheaper if i wait and buy them off ebay near the time of the show.

You can nearly always get tickets cheaper about 10 or so minutes after the show begins. Scalpers are just looking to get something back before walking away empty handed.

scalpers in Boston last year had front row seats they were getting rid of for cheap, right outside the venue

then again, you risk not getting in if you don't meet up with a scalper, or whatever. it's nice to have that piece of mind of already having tickets when you get there.

it's not going to hurt to check eBay.

Craigslist is good. I have bought tickets off eBay with good experience. Paypal offers some protection. Just be careful.

I've used eBay and StubHub with no problems. There is usually always somebody selling tickets outside cheap but I am assuming you'd want them beforehand. Never buy them right after they go on sale or sell out though, tickets are usually much cheaper the closer to the show it is.

I probably just got scammed but I just got two tickets on Ebay for a total of $52 in Section C Row C...(essentially row 6 I think)

My tickets for the Hammond, IN show were $27 including shipping for a pair on eBay. I think the face price including ticketmaster charges was just over $200 for a pair, so I think eBay could be a good route for this tour.
