Burger Joints indigenous to the areas you've lived?
In New Mexico, we had "Blake's Lotaburger" a local chain of 75 stores that TORE SHIT UP! I've already decided that Lotaburger will be the end of my vegetarianism when I go and visit New Mexico again, it tastes a log lot "Whataburger", except better.
Which just reminded me, Whataburger is 100x better than In-N-Out |

Campus Drive In i think there are two of them one in salinas, one in gilroy or castroville... they have MASSIVE burgers that are nothing like "drive through" burgers.
well it's not a drive through, it's a walk in and take out or sit down and eat.. but OMG they are sooooooooo good. and then there's In N Out. which is marvulous as well, but not half as good. |

I find it rather funny that you'd like that place. The only thing they got going is a decent sized burger. Its too bad their burgers are rather mediocre. Their Fries suck ass.

Tommy's burgers are really nothing without the chili. I should try putting their chili in a double-double when i go to cali next week.
edit: Well the burgers are still good, but the chili is what really does it.

lotaburger
whataburger in and out all are fucking overrated. in and out is the best of the three in my opinion. whats the washington state chain with the real generic name? people up there love that place and i thought it was very average as well. |

If you think that lotaburger, whataburger or in and out are "great" or some such you need to be fucking shot.
There are two quality burger chains in America: Kopp's in Milwaukee area and Prince's in Houston. The Culver's chain is above-average. Burger houses and non-chains are obviously where it's at. |

My experience has been that the Midwest and Texas have more to offer as far as hamburger joints then the Southeast, Deep South or West Coast. |
