I Like it, but it does seem like the effort and passion isn't there.

well, i like the album. it sounds nothing like TF, more like some songs on TDS. I will still buy it, (although /DL) as well as the single and LP.
looking forward to seeing them on my local festival this summer!
/C.

my gripes:

- All The Love.... suxors.

- Awitha Ateetha!!!

- the effect on Right Where... gives me a fucking headache

- The Collector is lame...

- Only = Stupid lyrics. terrible choice for a second single

my uh... non....gripes:

- You Know What.... has more agrresiveness than all of TF put together. (though its trying a bit hard to be March Of The Pigs pt. 2)

- Every Day... is wicked

- Love that chorus on The Line Begins...

- The Hand That Feeds is a standout.

- Jeordie backing vocals > Robin backing vocals

I don't understand how people can say they like other NIN but you don't like this. Its pretty much a continuation with some variations and progressions of the type of music Trent has been producing all along.

I think all the live drums add a fullness that wasn't there on some of the earlier NIN. I'd say it'll be enjoyable to see live.

yeah and this may be the hard part: there's good AND bad music in the SAME GENRE

I liked The Fragile (the Left anyway...) so I thought this one might be good too..... but it's definitely crap.

None of the intersting stuff of The Fragile, it sounds like a horrible ripoff of the ideas of DS, very generic sound. It's like the worst elements of NIN all in one album.

Boring, just... very very boring.

I can send it to you. Aim is handleofvodka.

I enjoy the album. I like the straighforward full approach he takes with the songs. The more I listen to it the more it reminds me of the sound that came across on their live Dvd. Most of you like a lot of shit music anyways though so really, what weight should your opinions hold?

I think its the new indie thing to hate on bands from the 90s anyways.
