oftentimes craigslist will have people selling them for cheaper, but generally their warranties have expired or something else undesirable like that

The newest model.. I don't know if that would be on discount anywhere. You can get free engraving and shipping through apple.com I believe. Also, engraved ones come straight from the factory so you have a fresher battery probably. This wouldn't matter with a brand new product line I suppose...

if i were rich, i'd buy a bunch of ipods and have them engraved with the goatse url and maybe a few tub girl ones as well, and then i'd sell them for pretty cheap. i think that'd be a good way of goatseing some new people

Yea but I don't make purchases based on what the eventual resale value might be. Maybe I would take that into consideration when buying a house or something like that.

Fonz, I got mine from the states which worked out to about $450 US for a 20gb one, so that was pretty good. So if you can get someone to get you one in the states that's the cheapest option, what with the shitty USD and strong NZD
