everytime i read one of these np threads i realize how out of touch i am with music. In high school i listened to a lot of music - now i basically never do - i don't own an mp3 player , i don't have a playlist on my computer. I havent used my cd player in a few years.

I occasionally listen to my records when i clean or somthing and thats pretty much it.

that's no reason for not listenig to music anymore. do you really think you have all the albums you'd enjoy that were made like, before 2000?

no of course not - i just haven't been motivated by anything. Feel free to reccomend me somthing in my music board thread. I'd like to expand my time frame of music towards somthing newer.

i still listen to a lot of music, but i agree, most new bands just dont it for me.there's something missing. i used to be up on ALL the new rock... but now i couldnt tell you the difference between a bright eye and a franz ferdinand.

i try to be up on those things but it's really hard when you've never met anyone who had even heard of bright eyes.

so i mostly end up downloading stuff i don't really like. i enjoy maybe half of it but sometimes i just stumble over something special that makes me want to buy more of the artist. that's the way i handle it.
