By that logic the Smurfs should sue the Blue Man Group

easy to tell terminator and matrix went together. after i seen terminator 3 i told my brother, "at some point the people will get together and make the films cross, they fit together perfectly".

Skynet=brain that builds the matrix, created "The Architect"

at the end of terminator when all the nukes go up, it reminded me of when morph said "i know it was us that scorched the sky". even though in terminator it is skynet that actually fires the nukes. so in that the brothers changed the film a little bit.

both matrix and terminator movies are about hummans fighting the machines/terminators after the planet gets fried. the terminator robots are the great grand parents of the matrix robots.

Basically she got sued for pretty much the same thing by an author whose book was out years before, and there was ( i think) a good case against her. A lot of terms and shit ( like muggle was and meant the same thing, which I dont know what that is cause I dont read that garbage) were pretty muched ripped off. Well, from what I remember. Anyway, the lady lost.

In the late 1990s, Nancy Stouffer, an author of children's books published in the 1980s, began to publicly charge that Rowling's book were based on her books, including The Legend of Rah and the Muggles and Larry Potter and His Best Friend Lilly. In 2001, Rowling, Scholastic Press (the American publisher of her books), and Warner Bros. (the producer of the film adaptations) sued Stouffer, asking the court to judge that there was no infringement of Stouffer's trademarks or copyright. Stouffer, who had not previously sued, then filed counterclaims alleging such infringement.

Rowling and her colitigants argued that much of the evidence that Stouffer presented was fraudulent and asked for sanctions and attorneys' fees as punishment. When the case finally came to court in September 2002, the court found in Rowling's favour, stating that Stouffer had lied to the court and falsified and forged documents to support her case. The court fined Stouffer US$50,000 and ordered her to pay part (but not all) of the plaintiffs' costs.

In January 2004 it was reported that Stouffer's appeal against the judgement had been rejected. The appeals court agreed that Stouffer's claims were properly dismissed because "no reasonable juror could find a likelihood of confusion as to the source of the two parties' works". The Court explained:

Stouffer's and Plaintiffs' marks are used in two very different ways. Rowling's use of the term "Muggles" describes ordinary humans with no magical powers while Stouffer's "Muggles" are tiny, hairless creatures with elongated heads. Further, the Harry Potter books are novel-length works and whose primary customers are older children and adults whereas Stouffer's booklets appeal to young children. Accordingly, the District Court correctly dismissed Stouffer's trademark claims.

Stouffer was also ordered to pay the costs of the appeal.

That's a nice solid geek theory, but its pretty much disproved if you watch "The 2nd Rennisance - parts 1 & 2" on "The Animatrix".

It's a great short though, I'd recomend it to anyone and everyone, even strangers on the street. I don't watch much anime but that bit flat out kicked ass. "Give us your flesh". Oh baby.

Who said that?
Holden:
I did! Lando Calrissian is a positive role-model in the realm of science fiction fantasy.
Hooper:
Man, fuck Lando Calrissian! Uncle-Tom nigger! Always some white boy got to invoke the Holy Trilogy. Bust this. Those movies are about how the white man keeps the brother man down even in the galaxy far, far away. Check this shit. You got cracker farm boy Luke Skywalker--Nazi poster boy: blond hair, blue eyes--and then you've got Darth Vader, the blackest brother in the galaxy, Nubian god.
Banky:
What's a Nubian?
Hooper:
Shut the fuck up! Now Vader, he's a spiritual brother, you know, down with the force and all that good shit. Then this cracker Skywalker gets his hands on a lightsaber, and the boy decides he's gonna run the fuckin' universe. Gets a whole clan of whites together, and they're gonna bust up Vader's hood--the Death Star. Now what the fuck do you call that?!
Banky:
Intergalactic civil war?
Hooper:
GENTRIFICATION! They're gonna drive out the black element to make the galaxy--quote, unquote--safe for white folks. And Jedi's the most insulting installment, because Vader's beautiful, black visage is sullied when he pulls off his mask to reveal a feeble, crusty old white man! They tryin' to tell us that deep inside, we all wants to be white!
Banky:
Well, isn't that true?
Hooper: (shoots banky and goes insane)
BLACK RAGE! BLACK RAGE! I'LL KILL ANY WHITE FOLKS I LAY MY MOTHAFUCKIN' EYES ON!
if it was my call i would not let mark hamill into the nazi party
